Stanley G.C. Professional Staff Bio's
Kyle Hedstrom - Head Golf Professional
Kyle Hedstrom was born and raised in Newington, Connecticut. Kyle attended Newington High School and Central Connecticut State University where he played on the golf teams. His professional career began in 1997 at Ellington Ridge Country Club followed by stints at Black Hall Club and Shuttle Meadow Country Club. During his tenure at Ellington, Kyle won the TaylorMade-Adidas Assistants' Championship in 2000. Kyle was awarded the Connecticut Section Assistant Golf Professional of the Year in 2002 as well as the Connecticut Section Merchandiser of the Year in 2005. Kyle has been the Head Golf Professional at Stanley Golf Course since 2004. He currently lives in Wethersfield, CT with his wife Leanne, son Jack and daughter Kayla.
Nick Hudyma - Assistant Golf Professional
Nick Hudyma was born and raised in New Britain, Connecticut. Nick graduated from New Britain High School in 2000 where he was an All-State and All-Region baseball player. He graduated from Fairfield University in 2004, where he played baseball on scholarship for the Stags. Nick has been an Assistant Golf Professional at Stanley Golf Course since 2005. In 2007, Nick qualified for and played in the CT Open at Lake of Isles at Foxwoods Casino. His love for the game and desire to help people will contribute greatly in serving all who play here at Stanley. He's currently enrolled in the extensive PGA Golf Professional Training Program.
Shaun Maher - Assistant Golf Professional
Shaun is entering his first season at Stanley Golf Course as a PGA Assistant Golf Professional. Shaun is a graduate of Methodist University in North Carolina. He was previously employed at TPC River Highlands, Sterling Farms, and Shuttle Meadow Country Club. Shaun is the current President of the Connecticut Section Assistants Association as well as a PGA Ambassador for the Dominican Republic. His true passion is teaching, with a focus on junior golf. Shaun looks forward to his new tenure here at Stanley.
