Stanley G.C. Professional Staff Bio's
Kyle Hedstrom - Head Golf Professional
Kyle Hedstrom was born and raised in Newington, Connecticut. Kyle attended Newington High School and Central Connecticut State University where he played on the golf teams. His professional career began in 1997 at Ellington Ridge Country Club followed by stints at Black Hall Club and Shuttle Meadow Country Club. During his tenure at Ellington, Kyle won the TaylorMade-Adidas Assistants' Championship in 2000. Kyle was awarded the Connecticut Section Assistant Golf Professional of the Year in 2002 as well as the Connecticut Section Merchandiser of the Year in 2005 and 2011. Kyle has been the Head Golf Professional at Stanley Golf Course since 2004. He currently lives in Wethersfield, CT with his wife Leanne, son Jack and daughter Kayla.
Shaun Maher, PGA - Director of Instruction
Shaun Maher was born and raised in Cromwell, CT. Shaun attended Cromwell High School and graduated from Methodist University in North Carolina. His professional career started in 1996 at TPC River Highlands and worked at some of the best golf facilities in the country. Shaun is a past President of the CT Section Assistants Association, a PGA Ambassador for PGA Magazine, the 2011 CT Section Assistant Golf Professional of the Year, and currently serves on the CT Golf Foundation Committee. His true passion is teaching, with a focus on junior golf. Shaun will provide top-notch customer service in making everyone's experience more enjoyable at Stanley.
